Time: Sat January 15, 2:30 pm

Presented by Alan Friedman, CPA, Friedman, Kannenberg & Company, P.C.

You’ve identified the product your customers want, you’ve negotiated favorable payment terms with your key vendors, and you’ve implemented a great commission plan to motivate your sales staff.  But cash is still tight, supplier invoices are aging and we all know why…too much inventory.  Even if you guess right most of the time, you’re still going to guess wrong some of the time.  How do you fix these buying blunders?  This session will teach you how to fix buying mistakes and “manage” your inventory.  Alan Friedman, a CPA with several music dealer clients, will present his “one-page solution” to managing your entire inventory.

Alan Returns from Another Successful Yamaha Trip

Several times a year, Alan teaches a course called “Financial Advantage” hosted and provided by the Yamaha Band & Orchestral Division.   This is a course that allows Yamaha dealers to be educated on topics such as managing their rental pools properly, to financing their businesses properly, to “selling” themselves to lenders, to  disaster and succession planning, and much much more.

The last class was held in Las Vegas, NV where attendance was high.  In these economic times, where any information for success is precious, it is wonderful to see that Yamaha steps to the plate and provides that opportunity for its vendors.  Between Alan and Yamaha, collective strides are being made to keeping the industry healthy.
